What is Raksha Hash?

Raksha Hash is India's first free, open-source tool to prevent Non-Consensual Intimate Image (NCII) abuse — also known as "revenge porn."

It empowers survivors and potential victims to register a digital fingerprint (hash) of their private images without ever uploading those images to any server. All hashing is done locally on your device.

🛡️

Privacy First

Your images never leave your phone. Only a 64-char fingerprint is stored.

Instant Protection

Register your images in under 60 seconds.

🆓

Free Forever

100% free for survivors. Always.

How does it work?

We use a technology called perceptual hashing (PDQ), originally developed by Meta to detect CSAM. When you upload an image:

  1. 1Your image is processed entirely in your browser.
  2. 2A unique 256-bit fingerprint (hash) is created.
  3. 3The hash — not the image — is sent to our secure database.
  4. 4Partner platforms check against our database before allowing any upload.

Who built this?

Raksha Hash is an open-source project built by privacy advocates and engineers from India who believe every woman deserves digital safety. We are not affiliated with any government body or tech corporation.
