What is Raksha Hash?
Raksha Hash is India's first free, open-source tool to prevent Non-Consensual Intimate Image (NCII) abuse — also known as "revenge porn."
It empowers survivors and potential victims to register a digital fingerprint (hash) of their private images without ever uploading those images to any server. All hashing is done locally on your device.
Privacy First
Your images never leave your phone. Only a 64-char fingerprint is stored.
Instant Protection
Register your images in under 60 seconds.
Free Forever
100% free for survivors. Always.
How does it work?
We use a technology called perceptual hashing (PDQ), originally developed by Meta to detect CSAM. When you upload an image:
- 1Your image is processed entirely in your browser.
- 2A unique 256-bit fingerprint (hash) is created.
- 3The hash — not the image — is sent to our secure database.
- 4Partner platforms check against our database before allowing any upload.
Who built this?
Raksha Hash is an open-source project built by privacy advocates and engineers from India who believe every woman deserves digital safety. We are not affiliated with any government body or tech corporation.
